The EMS World Expo is the world’s largest trade conference for emergency medical services. Every year, it brings together experts, decision-makers, and innovators from the international EMS community. WEINMANN was also there again in 2026 and used the event as an opportunity for lively networking.

MEDUVISION makes its debut on the US market

This year’s EMS World Expo in Orlando, Florida, drew around 7,500 attendees. The grand opening ceremony alone made it clear just how important this event is to international emergency medical services.

A major milestone for WEINMANN this year was the unveiling of the MEDUVISION video laryngoscope, which was recently launched on the US market. This marked the first time the system was presented to a broad audience of industry professionals in the United States. In addition to MEDUVISION, visitors were also able to learn about MEDUMAT Easy CPR and other solutions for modern prehospital care.

The numerous conversations at the trade fair stand demonstrated the high level of interest in innovative and practical solutions for emergency medical services. Feedback from users was particularly valuable in this regard, as it provided important insights for the further development of our products.

Current research on ventilation during resuscitation

WEINMANN was also represented at the EMS World Expo in an academic capacity. In his presentation, Dr. Alberto Hernández-Tejedor from Spain presented the latest scientific findings, international recommendations, and the results of the largest human study to date on ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The focus was on the question of how the right ventilation strategy can support effective resuscitation and increase patients’ chances of survival.

The importance of this topic was also reflected in the academic program with a total of five research posters on the topic of ventilation in emergency medical services being presented. This underlines the growing importance of this field of research as well as the increasing scientific focus on optimal ventilation in prehospital settings.

Award for commitment to research

Another highlight was the WEINMANN team being honored with the Platinum Sponsor Award from the Prehospital Care Research Forum (PCRF). The award recognizes the ongoing commitment to and support of research in the field of prehospital emergency care. This recognition encourages us to actively shape the future of emergency medicine together with our partners and users, and to continue advancing evidence-based solutions for emergency medical services.

Valuable insights for the future

In addition to the technical presentations and product demonstrations, the EMS World Expo offered numerous opportunities for one-on-one conversations. Our discussions with EMS experts, business partners, and colleagues from around the world provided valuable insights into current challenges, future developments, and new opportunities for collaboration.

With plenty of new ideas and exciting prospects, we are already looking forward to the next EMS World Expo and are eager to continue our dialogue with the international emergency medical services community.
