New features for MEDUVENT Standard have been announced by WEINMANN Emergency, the leading supplier of ventilation solutions for emergency medical services.

The new functions are available as of now; they will be launched officially at the renowned RETTmobil trade fair in May 2024. The new features of MEDUVENT Standard, the state-of-the-art turbine ventilator, expand its applications to support the work of EMS field providers perfectly.

“The updated MEDUVENT Standard significantly expands the range of applications for EMS staff,” says Matthias Lehmann, the responsible product manager at WEINMANN Emergency. The software update is available to all users with immediate effect.
There are also some new software options available to purchase. The “pressure-controlled ventilation” option provides different ventilation modes and thus guarantees versatility in use, as well as making it possible to adapt the device to suit a patient’s needs.
There is also the FlowCurve Pro option, which includes flow measurement and Assisted Spontaneous Breathing (ASB) pressure support; this can assist the patient’s respiratory effort. Development of the “CBRN” option was driven by market demand, covering the requirement for safe ventilation in unconventional situations – disaster management, for example.
The clear user interface of MEDUVENT Standard ensures users can see both ventilation parameters and monitoring values at a glance – making it even easier to operate the turbine ventilator intuitively.

The characteristics of the turbine ventilator

Weighing upwards of 2.1 kg, MEDUVENT Standard is compact, lightweight, and simultaneously extremely rugged, making it the ideal companion for every emergency scenario. The device ventilates with 21 - 100% O2i without internal oxygen consumption, and its globally-compatible oxygen inlet tube allows flexible supply of oxygen.
