WEINMANN Emergency to Cooperate with medDV

Hamburg medical technology company WEINMANN Emergency is entering into a longterm partnership with medDV, a German company based in Fernwald, to outsource its digital session documentation.
The requirements on digital solutions relating to managing patients in emergency medical services keep on rising. In addition to patient data management, the focus is increasingly on remote emergency physicians and admission of patients to emergency rooms in hospitals, these topics becoming essential components of a holistic solution for customers.
In order to remain competitive in this area in the long term, we are particularly pleased to have found in medDV GmbH a partner very well-versed in all the above-mentioned areas and able to deliver solutions.

WEINMANN Emergency and medDV have concluded a strategic cooperation agreement to collaborate in the fields of development, marketing, and sales and will thus cooperate as partners in the long term. medDV GmbH will be taking over the MEDICALPAD solution and WEINMANN Emergency employees at the Hamburg site and will continue to manage existing customer relationships in the long term.
Digitalization will continue to be an important component of WEINMANN Emergency’s strategy: “We are concentrating on the interoperability of our therapy devices so that we can integrate them in the system landscape of emergency medical services and make them future-proof,” says Steffen Schmitt, Head of Digital Services Product Management.
Carsten Rausch and Gunter Ernst, the managing directors of medDV GmbH, are pleased about the future collaboration. “We are convinced that long term, we will benefit from merging our products and teams and from collaborating with WEINMANN Emergency, and that we will be able to provide our customers with reliable holistic systems. This is our logical approach to expanding the digitalization of emergency medical services.
