Our Commitment to Medical Care in Crisis Situations
As a medical technology company operating internationally, WEINMANN feels a responsibility to help in places where medical help is most urgently needed. In areas of conflict and after natural disasters, our devices make an important contribution to ensuring medical care is available on site. In the following, we will introduce two projects that we have been actively working on recently and that are particularity close to our hearts.
Support for Ukraine
The war in Ukraine poses significant challenges for the country’s medical infrastructure. André Schulte, CEO at WEINMANN, reports: “One of our partners in Ukraine is a large company that has developed software for us. We have offered families protection in Hamburg and transported supplies to Ukraine.” To do that, WEINMANN has donated various medical devices to institutions such as the Hamburg chamber of commerce. André Schulte explains: “We are part of the #WeAreAllUkrainians initiative. Together with the hamburg fire department and relief organizations, we have donated complete rescue vehicles and equipment to help on site. And we will continue with this commitment in the future.”
Help after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria
After the seismic earthquake in Turkey and Syria, fast help was urgently required. We provided a ventilator and two defibrillators/monitors via the relief organization action medeor. These devices are crucial for stabilizing seriously injured patients who are dependent on acute medical care. Steffen, Head of Application Specialists at WEINMANN, emphasizes: “Every second counts in crisis situations. We are glad that we are able to help people in an emergency with these life-saving devices.”
