CCSV – innovative ventilation mode for resuscitation
WEINMANN has developed in the CCSV mode, a solution which specifically addresses the challenges of ventilation during CPR. It is the result of many years of collaboration with research institutions and emergency medical services organizations worldwide. By synchronizing ventilation with chest compressions, CCSV provides a compelling combination of effective oxygenation and improved perfusion – a real advance for emergency responders and patients receiving resuscitation care.
We are delighted to receive this award from the Björn Steiger Foundation and hope that it will raise awareness of the importance of ventilation during resuscitation.

About the Björn Steiger Foundation
The Björn Steiger Foundation was established in 1969 by Ute and Siegfried Steiger after their son died following a traffic accident due to inadequate emergency care. Since then, the foundation has been tirelessly committed to improving emergency medical services in Germany. Its pioneering initiatives include the introduction of the 110/112 emergency numbers, the founding and development of the German Air Rescue Service (DRF), and the installation of emergency telephones on federal and state highways. The foundation aims to draw attention to shortcomings in the field of emergency assistance, stimulate public debate, and contribute to better emergency care with its own projects, such as the baby emergency ambulance or Herzsicher, and concrete solutions—as it did in 2025 with the submission of a constitutional complaint for the creation of uniform regulations in the emergency medical services.
