I Want to Help Shape the Future | Olivia Kniebel
Hi, I am Olivia and I recently joined WEINMANN Emergency as a dual student. When I am not on the move through the corridors of the headquarters in Frohbösestraße or the production center in Henstedt-Ulzburg, I am sitting in the lecture theaters of the Nordakademie University of Applied Sciences.
I study industrial engineering there. When I finished school, I quite quickly realized that I first wanted to gain a bit of experience in the world of work. The opportunity to acquire theoretical knowledge at the same time seemed to be the ideal solution for me. In this way, I can combine theory and practice and receive varied training.
Theory and practice – a good recipe for a successful career start
I applied to WEINMANN Emergency because it is important to me to work in an exciting and pioneering industry. During the application phase, I sensed that I would have the opportunity to develop myself and work independently here. Furthermore, I can combine my personal interest in medicine with my studies. When I was accepted by WEINMANN Emergency, I was naturally delighted. What I especially like is that I can plan my dual studies with relative freedom. For instance, I can perfectly adapt it to suit my needs and also link it to the curriculum of the university.
Trusting cooperation
My journey through the different departments began at the Center for Production, Logistics and Service in Henstedt-Ulzburg. Already in the first few days, I noticed how pleasant the working atmosphere was, especially the way people treat each other and cooperate. My colleagues placed a lot of trust in me right away, which meant that I was able to take on my own tasks from the very first day. I was also directly involved in the world of work processes. These experiences continued when I relocated to the headquarters in Hamburg. I will spend time in the various departments here for the next three and a half years until I complete my Bachelor degree.
