MEDUMAT Standard² with night mode

Software version 5.3 for the MEDUMAT Standard2 ventilator is out now. As well as the night mode feature, the patient presettings and the configuration of the ventilation modes have been expanded.

The emergency medical service is on duty 24/7, which leads to increased physical strain on EMS field providers. Due to the different light conditions, the eyes are particularly strained at night. This is why night mode has been added to MEDUMAT Standard2 software version 5.3*. The inverted colors improve the visibility of the parameters and minimize distracting glare. This means that the display can be read optimally even in the dark.

The operator menu has also been adapted: the patient group-specific presettings of the ventilation parameters can now be set individually for each ventilation mode. Furthermore, the alarm limits in CPAP / CPAP+ASB mode can be preconfigured.

If a patient has to receive particularly rapid care, the EMS field providers prefer to start ventilation via emergency ventilation mode. Previously, IPPV was preset as the mode here, but thanks to the new update, the operator is now flexible and can set any ventilation mode as an emergency ventilation mode themselves.

More and more MEDUMAT Standard2 are having the innovative ventilation mode CCSV (Chest Compression Synchronized Ventilation) installed. With this option, in addition to Manual CPR and CPR-CCSV, CPR-IPPV can now also be selected as the start mode for the CPR mode thanks to the update.

The software update is rounded off by the fact that the date and time can now also be set on the user interface.

“We work in close contact with our users. With software version 5.3, we have been able to implement requirements from the market. MEDUMAT Standard2 is now even better adapted to the needs of the emergency medical service”, reports Matthias Lehmann, Product Manager of Ventilation at WEINMANN Emergency.
