Device briefings in Potsdam today, training sessions in Dresden tomorrow, issuing certificates and following up customer appointments in his home office the day after tomorrow – for Marian, no two days are alike. He has been an application specialist at WEINMANN Emergency for more than 11 years and is primarily responsible for Berlin and the new federal states. Marian’s task is to explain the medical devices to users so that they can use them without problems – regardless of the level of stress they are currently experiencing. Many of his colleagues started their careers in the emergency medical services. After completing his degree in business administration, Marian also opted for paramedic training – the highest level of non-physician medical education. At WEINMANN Emergency he is able to combine his professional interests. “I was interested in this symbiosis,” he says. “You can combine these two specific fields into one job. This is what I find so exciting about my work."
Knowledge Transfer Is the Key
Marian is not only a trained paramedic, he has also worked as a lecturer at the Landesrettungsschule Brandenburg school for emergency responders. This experience is also a benefit to him now at WEINMANN Emergency. “Knowledge transfer is an important part of the emergency medical service for me. That’s also an important part of my work at WEINMANN Emergency,” he explains. When it comes to the topic of non-invasive ventilation, for example, many people draw upon the expertise of Marian and his colleagues. “Our customers associate WEINMANN Emergency with a high level of expertise. I am not only able to impart theoretical knowledge, I can also say what that looks like in practice." Just as important as knowledge transfer, however, is the feedback loop that runs via the application specialists. “When our customers propose a suggestion for improvement, I naturally relay it back to Product Management. That’s the only way that we can meet the requirements of our users,” he explains.

He always enjoys providing instructions and training on using the devices for our customers. Presenting our product portfolios at trade fairs and congresses rounds off his scope of duties. Marian enthuses users with live demonstrations of our innovative CCSV ventilation mode. His expertise as an emergency paramedic gives him an excellent starting point. Our customers appreciate this and feel that he is one of them.
