The Emergency Services Cooperation in Schleswig-Holstein (RKiSH) gGmbH is the largest municipal emergency service in Germany.
The company carries out its job to the highest medical standard: emergency medical and patient transport services. This includes the fact that the RKiSH continuously works on further developing both the emergency service and the future of preclinical treatment for its patients – in terms of structure, personnel and technology.
The RKiSH's operating areas include the districts of Dithmarschen, Pinneberg, Rendsburg-Eckernfoerde and Steinburg. The company established these together in 2005.
The RKiSH offers citizens in the four districts of Schleswig-Holstein a state-of-the-art emergency service with more than 730 full-time emergency medical technicians and paramedics 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The RKiSH's 31 ambulance stations and eight emergency physician stations are located exactly so that an ambulance or an emergency physician vehicle can reach any of the 850,000 citizens in the service region within twelve minutes.
The RKiSH currently runs eight emergency physician vehicles (NEF) and 83 ambulances (RTW). The vehicles feature the same equipment used in an intensive care unit.
All RKiSH vehicles are equipped with a WEINMANN Emergency MEDUMAT Transport ventilator and the ACCUVAC suction pump.
